How to royally mess up your team’s future plans.
Let’s get real for a second!
If you’re building a business, a family, or any team to create success, there are necessary steps.
Sometimes developing the right steps to take is a great idea, but figuring out which steps not to take is just as important.
So in true ‘let’s get to it’ fashion… let’s get to it.
Number 1:
The old ways prevent innovation.
When we are locked into a certain way of doing things, we close our minds. We say no to more effective methods and we risk falling behind! This is terrible.
And probably the reason you and your team will become irrelevant.
Unless you do something about it and focus on finding new ways of doing things.
Tip for the week: What innovative technology can bolster your career? if you had the resources, or time and authority can you find something remarkable that will help you in your career?
Number 2:
The old ways are inefficient.
The internet is here! No more waiting around for answers when we can jump into the search bar and find the answers.
Technology can be scary sure but it helps things become efficient. So if you have to take a class, to figure it out, go do it. Find a way because technology is here to stay.
Tip for the week: Learn about a new app or site. Ask yourself if your career can benefit from overlapping with this app. What would that look like?
Number 3:
The old ways limit our personal growth.
Our ability to learn and grow goes right out the window.
Say hello to the stagnant mindset, where we can’t adapt to change or overcome challenges.
Tip for the week: Look up a new thing this week and learn about it. Specifically, something you know nothing about and ask yourself how it can help you in your career. Is there an overlap? Maybe there is no overlap and that’s even better! If you could work to find an overlap, what would that look like?
So why do all this?
Because if you don’t then the old ways will mess up your team’s future.
More importantly, if you do this exercise every week for 3 weeks it will start changing how you process and find ideas. Over time this will help expand your mind to the possibilities of doing things in new ways.
So in true ‘let’s get to it’ fashion…let’s get to it!
