Trust is a feeling. It’s not a shirt we wear, a car we drive, a book we carry or an item to put on our desks.
Trust is full of intangibles. These thing we do not often think of specifically but we can feel. The little west everyday, like being vulnerable, being honesty, and understanding of someone.
This is how we build trust.
Do The Work
To show someone you have the ability to do the work is a crucial first step. If you need training, or education to get the job done, go get it! Or build it through experience. We have to trust each other in our ability to do the thing we are looking for.
Build benevolence.
Show others that your intentions are good. Show them your interest wins to work for their highest possible hood. No one wan to trust others that aim to step on people on their way to the top.
Integrity.
Just be there when you say you are going to be there. Do what you say you’re going to do. It’s not enough to present big dreams, it’s not enough to talk like you got it under control…actually do it! Build systems to help get your there.
Here’s an extra one is…be humble. Being humble is a key that opens the doors of curiosity and trust in the line of another. With humility, they start paying attention and that’s how, slowly but surely, we can build trust.
